Robert Erben was appointed Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic for the State of Colorado in 2010.
A native of the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia), Robert's family immigrated to Colorado in 1968 shortly after the Prague Spring. Robert attended Regis Jesuit High School in Denver, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Texas in 1987, and received his Law degree and Master's degree in Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire in 1995. That same year, he joined a prestigious civil trial law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he became a partner and practiced for 10 years before moving back to Colorado. Robert currently practices at his own firm, Erben Law, LLC, where he specializes in personal injury law in Boulder, Colorado. He also occasionally lectures at the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder and Holmes College in Denver.
Robert enjoys all outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, camping, running and biking. He resides in Boulder with his wife, Laura, a medical doctor and their six children, Ivo, Austin, Nikki, Bobby, Kaja and Franki.
